Teddy Bear Picnic

Today was quite a day. Brooke and I were off for another adventure....we met Vicky and Eve at the Rochester Municipial Park for a TEDDY BEAR PICNIC. The girls were so cute when we sat down on the blanket to eat. They fed their bears a sandwich...yum, yum! Then, there were bear stations to visit. Brooke and Eve both got certificates for their teddy bears, colored bear pictures, went to the boo boo station to get a check up for their bear. I think both bears were very healthy! Eve made a bear necklace, Brooke didn't quite have the attention span to sit long enough to thread beads on a necklace string! After the stations we went back to our blanket to get more to eat and on the way, crossed a bike path and Brooke almost got hit by a rider zooming by! YIKES, I still can't stop thinking about how fast it happened and I am so thankful my little girl did not get hit! But, she did manage to get a boo boo a few minutes later - she was running (very fast like she does to scare momma) and bumped right into a picnic table. OUCH! Big tears and ice pack came at an instant! She seems to be ok, just cried a little and then moved on! She is a tough little girl. After the stations was story time. Brooke got right up there to listen to the story...imagine that?!?!? After story time was the teddy bear parade. Brooke decided she wanted to be different (gets that from her Papa Weaver) and she walked her teddy bear in the parade. In the last picture you see her walking her bear...she learned that from Grandma Carpenter. So adorable! It's like her bear is a little puppet, but she thinks it is real. We really did have a great time. Eve and Brooke are only 4 months apart and really play well together. I wonder what our next adventure will be??

Thanks for the fun! Hopefully next's playdate won't be so eventful...right?! Eve really adores Brooke.
